The M5Stack Atomic PoE Base is a wired Ethernet expansion base designed for compatible M5Stack ATOM series controllers. It integrates the W5500 embedded Ethernet controller with a hardware TCP/IP protocol stack, providing reliable wired-network connectivity for embedded and IoT applications. Support for 10Base-T and 100Base-T Ethernet enables the base to meet network-access requirements in automation, remote-control, and other applications where a stable physical network connection is preferred.
The Atomic PoE Base also supports IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet, allowing a compatible ATOM controller and network interface to receive power through a PoE-enabled switch or hub without requiring a separate local power connection. The W5500 provides 8 independent hardware sockets for simultaneous network communication and supports TCP, UDP, ICMP, IPv4, ARP, IGMP, and PPPoE protocols. Compatibility with Atom-Lite, Atom-Matrix, AtomS3 and AtomS3-Lite makes the base suitable for compact wired IoT terminals and remotely deployed embedded controllers.
