Single-Channel 4-20 mA Analog Input Unit with I2C and Electrical Isolation
The M5Stack U162 Unit AIN4-20mA is a single-channel 4-20 mA analog current measurement module designed for connecting industrial current-output sensors to M5Stack controllers. It uses an STM32G030F6P6 microcontroller to acquire and process the analog signal and communicates with the host through an I2C interface. This makes it suitable for integrating common 420 mA industrial transmitters into monitoring, automation, and data-acquisition systems.
The unit incorporates an HCNR200 isolation device and an SGM321YC5/TR operational amplifier circuit to provide electrical isolation and reliable current-signal measurement. Jumper caps allow the wiring configuration to be changed for 2-wire or 4-wire sensors and for internally or externally powered sensor arrangements. The HY2.0-4P Grove interface provides power and I2C communication with the host, while the removable HT3.96-4P terminal simplifies connection to industrial sensors and external wiring.
