BQ2057 series, from Texas Instruments, are advanced Lithium-Ion and Lithium-Polymer (Li-Pol) linear charge-management ICs, designed for cost effective and compact portable electronics. They combine battery conditioning, temperature monitoring, high-accuracy current and voltage regulation, charge termination, charge-status indication and AutoComp charge-rate compensation in a single 8-pin IC. With all these features and options it can be used for optimum battery charging and management; thus could enhance battery life and performance significantly.
